Directed by H Vinoth, Valimai has been within the making since 2019. The movie has been postponed a pair of times attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie marks Vinoth’s 2nd collaboration with Ajith after the 2019 courtroom drama, Nerkonda Paarvai.
The movie stars Huma Qureshi in a pivotal role, whereas Karthikeya performs the antagonist. The movie also components Bani, Sumithra, Achyunth Kumar, Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, Pugazh, among others in supporting roles.
