Alia Bhatt Wishes Soon-To-Be ‘Grandmother’ Neetu Kapoor On Her Birthday With An Unseen Picture Of Turmeric

The much awaited brand-new season of Karan Johar’s well-known chat show Koffee With Karan premiered on Thursday (June 8) with Ranveer Singh and also Alia Bhatt beautifying the couch as the first visitors. The duo drank some coffee and also went to their honest best.

On the show, Ranveer and Alia played the game ‘Koffee Bingo’ which had points like ‘Despised a gift given by bae’, ‘Really did not speak to my companion for over a week’, ‘Quickie in the vanity van’ among others. When Ranveer Singh picked ‘got declined for a duty’, Karan Johar asked him if he was referring to Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet.

To this, the Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor amusingly replied, “I was not rejected, K. I was unceremoniously gone down since at the time I couldn’t justify the budget. My star value had not been high. But things have transformed.” Hearing this, KJo discharged a sheepish laugh and stated, “Well done.”

Previously, in an interview with journalist Faye D’Souza, supervisor Anurag Kashyap had revealed that his front runner for Bombay Velvet was Ranveer Singh and also included, “My workshops and also no one counted on me and informed me they will not provide me money if I made the film with him.” Eventually, the makers trapped Ranbir Kapoor to play the male lead contrary Anushka Sharma.

Upon its launch, Bombay Velvet was extensively panned by the critics and also the audience. It was a major dud at package workplace. The Anurag Kashyap directorial featured Karan Johar as the major villain.
