Is there going to be a Season 7?

To date, Teen Wolf has successfully premiered every six seasons. But now concerns about canceling their forthcoming seventh season have caused this show to be even more complicated. Season one of Teen Wolf was originally aired with 12 episodes on 5th June 2011. Teen Wolf’s second season originally aired on June 3rd, 2012, with 12 episodes.Teen Wolf split its episodes in season three into two parts of 12 episodes, ending with a total of 24, which premiered on 3 June 2013 and 6 January 2014. On 23rd June 2014, all 12 seasons together debuted again in season four. Again, for the fifth and sixth seasons, the teen wolf divided the two parts in 10 episodes of the seasons and finished with 20 episodes per season. On 29 June 2015 and 5 January 2016, the 5th season aired, and the 6th season premiered on 15 November 2016 and 30 July 2017. The sixth season is the fans’ last, since all the show creators, including actors, quit the final at the same time. There is no Season 7 of Teen Wolf. After network executives and Executive Producer Jeff Davis decided the series had run its course, the MTV show ended with Season 6. MTV no longer has the contractual rights to make new Teen Wolf episodes as of 2020. Conversely, while MGM has all rights to the original Teen Wolf film, without the involvement of MTV, they can not continue the television show. This contractual stalemate means that without MTV first releasing its grip on the characters and existing storylines, MGM can not make a Season 7 or a movie set in the current Teen Wolf Universe.
