Bengaluru: A statement by Karnataka BJP unit president Nalin Kumar Katil has created a new controversy. Nalin Kumar Katil said on Tuesday, ‘Who is Rahul Gandhi? I am not saying so. Rahul Gandhi is a drug addict and drug peddler. It came in the media. You can’t even run a party. Nalin Kumar’s reaction comes after a tweet by Karnataka Congress in which PM Narendra Modi was referred to as a thumb impression. The tweet was done in Kannada.

There was an uproar here after this tweet. However, Karnataka Congress unit president DK Shivakumar had later said that the controversial tweet about PM Modi had been removed from his Twitter account by the party’s social media team. The Congress leader had also said that it was a novice’s mistake. In the tweet, DK Shivakumar wrote, “I have always believed that political discussion should have a civil and parliamentary language. The rude tweet by a novice social media manager via the official Twitter handle of Karnataka Congress is regrettable and has been deleted. ” ‘

On the other hand, on this statement of Nalin Kumar, DK Shivakumar has once again given his reaction on social media. He said, “In the past I had said that I should have a civil and parliamentary language in political discussions. Even with our opposition. I hope the BJP will also believe it with me and for its state president’s statement on Rahul Gandhi. Will definitely apologise.”
