As of April 2019, the Police Proceedings series will be produced by Ben Stiller and will star Perry Mattfeld as Murphy Mason, a woman in her twenties who is blind and helps the police find out who killed her boyfriend, although the plot of the series is evolved since the first and second season.
The series is highly regarded on The CW show’s current roster, with a 7.5/10 and very much on trend of what you’d expect from the network, so if you’ve written the show off because of where it comes from, do not.
Where is In The Dark streaming on Netflix?
Only Netflix in the United States will receive new seasons of In the dark and indeed the show has streaming in whatever form it takes.
The reason Netflix US is carrying the show is simply due to the fact that Netflix had an extended output deal with The CW until mid-2019. Given In the dark which premiered in early 2019 is part of this deal.
The deal will see the show come to Netflix in full (i.e. the show’s lifespan) and then stay on Netflix for five years before departing).
Whether more regions of Netflix will pick up the show is unknown. It remains unsold in most regions, so it’s a possibility.
When will In The Dark season 4 be on Netflix?
Before In the dark coming to Netflix, it will have to air on The CW, which it won’t do until early next year.
Shooting for the fourth season will not start until November 29 and will continue until May 6, 2022.
Given this, and the fact that the series has been confirmed to be part of The Midseason of the CW, we can expect the show to air in April 2022 at the earliest (if past seasons are any guideline).
In that case, we expect the show to run until June or July and then arrive on Netflix about 8 days after the last episode airs. That means we expect season 4 from now on In the dark be on Netflix in July or August 2022.
